This pump is designed with electromagnetic technology.

When the air flow gets lower significantly, check if the filter foam is dirty.
The filter foam can be cleaned with tap water. Make sure the foam is dry before installing it back to the pump.

Kind Reminder:
1. Users should obtain the airline tubing (3/16") and air stones separately.
2. A check valve is highly recommended to use when the pump is placed below water level to avoid water flowing back to the pump when there is a power cut.

Although the pump is with an enlarged aluminum housing for heat dissipation, to best use the pump, it is highly recommended the pump be placed in a dry and well-ventilated place. This will significantly extend the lifespan of the pump.
Kind Reminder on the Noise Level
As a manufacturer, we understand that the noise level is very important to the users.
The structure design and materials have been optimized to achieve the best performance VS noise level. However, as the pump is so powerful in both flow rate and pressure, there is still a certain level of noise.
Here are some reminders for users to consider:
- The pump is not recommended to use in the bedroom.
- In most cases, users find it acceptable to use indoor. However, if your ears are sensitive to sound, we don't recommend to do so.

I had been buying cheaper vibrator types for my small minnow container - about 50 gal. . But they always failed in under a year. I am hoping that this one will last longer. Overall it has more capacity and is a heavier duty item. All it has to do is last. I use it outdoors so I created a cover for it still allows for good ventilation.

I had to take mine apart as there was a metal bb that was inside the unit that was making a horrible grinding and rattling noise when turned on.It's horribly loud when its cold, but becomes very quiet when it warms up to about 120-140f.For $30 this thing is insanely power and definitely worth the money!

While I was very impressed with the air flow of this pump, and the noise was greater than expected. Since it is placed in a protected location outdoors, it is not causing noise issues inside our home.I discovered that the much greater noise and lack of airflow in the past month was due to racoons having chewed into 3 of the 6 air stone lines in our pond, plus one of the air stones had been pull off its tubing. I only had two air stones operating, but had a major loss of air pressure right at the pump and in the pond. After tension wrapping the chew holes (I will replace the tubing soon) and cutting the damaged main tubing at the pump end, pressure resumed to normal.The noise level of the pump is higher than when it was first installed, but it is outdoors, so it is not that much of an issue. Our previous air pump now costs 4-5 times as much, is very quiet, but the air flow is about 1/10, so it is not of much value to us. We are sticking with this manufacturer, especially since they responded within one day to my concerns about the airflow issue, BEFORE I discovered that the problem was not the pump, but racoons thinking plastic tubing is food.Very good response time and excellent customer support by the company. Emails are only available via the address printed in material which comes with the order.

The center screw on the piston came out and the diaphragm was shredded in the process. So it stopped working and just made an incredibly loud noise from that point forward. I am out of the return period of 30 days by about 2 days.

Seems to be working very well. I have a 3 to 400 gallon tank for aquaponics. Puts out plenty of air. Not to loud.

First, understand I did not buy this to aerate an aquarium but I am bubbling air through water. OK. I'm using this pump to pass air through a Birkeland - Eyde reactor. So the air flow goes from the pump into a 2 gallon glass jar, then through a second hose out to a 1 liter jar to bubble through water. I bought the 18 watt model. Oddly, it pushes more air than needed through an open tube and I actually had to restrict the air flow down by 50%. But once I attach a ceramic air diffuser, it completely stops working. It will push air down to the diffuser, where it just stops. I have no explanation for this but I am using it a little differently than it is designed for.It's very well made, reasonably quiet - remember it is commercial grade like for use in a restaurant or something which is why I bought it. For that function - aerating a lobster tank, large fish tank, something like that, this is a very good pump. Very small and easily concealable. Despite its inability to push air through a diffuser in my specific application I give this pump 5 stars and would buy it again.
