I purchased this Gong for my daughter who plays the singing bowls and always wanted to have one. This was a great sounding instrument. It's NOT a decoration or a toy, but a real Gong - with a real gong sound, not like in Indiana Jones but still a nice real broad sounding "Cymbal Splash." I listened to the videos of every Gong out there (on Amazon) and basically - the better sounding ones were bigger and very expensive. This one is a nice size to move around, travel with and setup for gigs. It's got a great sound for it's size. I'm very happy with the purchase and so is my Daughter.

I only wished I had ordered a larger instrument! The gong responds quickly without a lot of primming! It is also easy to choke the sound! Great instrument!
