My headlights are right up against some internal car stuff...its a technical term...I was unable to manipulate my hand to grasp the internal lightbulb pinch and twist. These worked great! I was able to get the lightbulbs out and replace them with new ones without breaking my wrist.

I was attracted to the design of these pliers and the reasonable price. I was pleased to find them in a tool roll inside a cardboard box. Each operates well and the cutters are well ground. The alignment of the jaws is good and everything indexes properly. Outstanding value.

There are tons of the same ones out there. Just decided on ares because of the name. Seems to work better with fuses. Inexpensive, good grips. Feels well in your hands. More of a specialty tool to use not often. But you have it

For the price, you're not going to get much better. The quality of these tools rivals most American and German manufacturers. Even Knipex and Whia are not making all of their tools in Germany and more. The trade off might be in a slightly lower quality steel or heat treatment or even a little less attention to detail and finishing. But at this price point, these are fantastic. I'm new to the angle head pliers but I do like them. I actually bought these to keep in the kitchen utility drawer. I have always kept a small assortment of tools there to handle small jobs around the home to reduce trips out to my shop or garage. These excel for this purpose. I'm quite happy with these.

I was looking at the Orbis (owned by Knipex) pliers in this style but couldn't justify the cost and the small grips didn't look inviting to my large hands. This Ares set is great for me, the fit and finish is very good.

Just what you need when you drop something you can’t reach.

These are made in China and although some things made in that country have come a long way, these don't make the cut IMO. The needle nose pliers have a gap (unable to grasp a fingernail closest to the cutter). The forged metal looks cheap and the handles feel cheap. They are functional and I'll keep them for the $20 price, but I wouldn't buy them again. I have other Ares tools that I like. Unfortunately, the quality of this set seems out of character for carrying Ares name.
