Like several other reviewers, I was plagued by a feline Jean Valjean. Every morning I would wake up to find a trail of breadcrumbs and shredded plastic. The cat stole sandwich bread, tortillas, and a sack of bagels before we acquired this lovely bread box. Now I am once again able to enjoy toast and tacos and tuna melts (although the cat does gaze longingly across the table at every meal).Quick to assemble, seems sturdy, I had no problem with the hinges and magnets lining up but it is definitely easier to assemble with two people. Most importantly my cat hasn't yet figured out how to open it. The acacia wood looks nice on my counter and it holds a lot without taking up much more space than the open basket we had before.

This breadbox is both well designed and has great functionality. Keeps bread and other pastries neatly stored to last fresh longer. Easy to understand directions with excellent quality wood. I would highly recommend this breadbox. Very nice company to do business with.

This is the first bread box I have ever owned. It appears to be well constructed, easy to put together, and is really a nice looking piece of counter furniture. It holds more than I thought it would. I do wish they would have used glass instead of plexiglass, but it’s understandable why they did not. I still recommend it.

The overall look of this Bread Box is beautiful. The Acacia wood color perfectly matches my kitchen cabinets. I am a 70-year-old single woman. I was able to put it together myself in about three hours. There were no drilled holes in the larger parts. That required definite hand strength. I also found the directions to be lacking. I had to figure how to put it together more logically. How they told me to do it, actually required sometimes, another person holding the parts. I was able to prop up the parts against my countertop. The handles are a bit loose. I did my best to tighten them. It is a great size. I have filled it up with muffins, bread loaves and hotdog buns. It can even hold more than that. It was priced a bit too high for the level of assembly and problem with certain parts. I am keeping it. I will be interested to see if my bread goods stay fresh.

The bread box holds more bread than anticipated. The bamboo is just right for our kitchen. It was easy to put together and the two sections open easily. Lastly, it fit beautifully under a cabinet.

It is very well made, pleasing to looks at and easy to assemble. All in all, a good value. Storage capacity was adequate.

Honestly this is a great bread box. Purchased due to size and because of cut in handles on side if you are moving it. My old one was not deep enough (7" deep) and I couldn't fit everything, this one is 10" deep, all measurements listed are accurate. I knew when I got it I was going to paint or stain it because I'm not a huge fan of how light color bamboo looks. I tried staining first and that didn't work because it has a clear coating or shelac on it and the stain wouldn't penetrate. That's a good thing though to keep it looking nice, if your using as is which I was not. Not knocking at all for that. Ended up painting it using 2 sample paints from Lowes and getting 2 handles for $2.50 each here on Amazon. The handles in product photo came pre- installed on the door pieces and they looked a little crooked, after I took them off I realized the part on the hardware that attached on either side wasn't made even/aligned with the other side of the handle. Don't know if that makes any sense, the pull/handle itself was made crooked, the part that screws go into. Well that didn't matter to me so much since I wasn't planning on using those anyway. I would watch out for that which they are 3-3/4" hole to hole handles if you are planning to replace them. Capacity is great I got in lower compartment 2 loaves of bread one sideways (one with about 3 or 4 slices missing but could fit both full), one bagel, 3 slices of my old bread and some mini snack rounds/small bagel things. You could take out the snack rounds, and 3 slices and instead put a regular 5 pack of bagels long ways instead of the one bagel I have and put the other things beside the english muffins up top. In the top I have 3 packages of English muffins and could fit 4 in the top compartment with about 3" on the side for say like muffins or crousants or something. This fits exactly what I need and the wood bamboo was in great shape, I do wish the plastic windows had plastic on it for shipment but they weren't damaged that much very minor scratches that aren't noticeable. Easy and self explanitory to assemble and instructions are easy to follow, the tiny screwdriver is a little hard to use you might want to use your own, some holes were just slightly missaligned but not enough to not make it work. All in all I do recommend but do wish it was a little cheaper and it does have cheap handles.

Gorgeous bread box! Fairly easy to put together, just make sure to line all sides up correctly when screwing in place so that the back slides in place. I’m a home baker and often have fresh baked goods to store and my previous bread box was too small. This box is large enough for my family while not taking up a lot of counter space. I also like that there is room on top for me to store my sourdough starter. I bought the Acacia wood option and it’s gorgeous!

This bread box is amazing!It is both functional and beautiful and it has really good quality. Assembly was very easy due to very good instructions and markings. It is worth every penny!

This comfortably takes my bread-machine loaves, which I store in micro-perforated bags. The bread keeps well for days, doesn’t dry out as it used to and there’s no sign of mould. There’s plenty of space for other baked goods and thanks to the windows you can see at a glance what you have. Not only that, but the bin looks great on the worktop, with the added benefit of storage space on the top. All told, an excellent buy, worth the investment. Straightforward to build too.
