Very good size and quality but the plastic liner has a very strong chemical smell. Tried to let it out to remove it but it is still strong. Don't want to put my bread inside it do to the smell.

Ok, so these bags are cute & the sizing is accurate. The bags’ cloth does feel like & appear to be linen. I have issue with the plastic liner. I just have no idea what kind of plastic this is & if it’s bpa-free, etc. What I can tell you is that the bags smell & even moreso when I open them & sniff the plastic-lined interior, so I believe the smelly suspect is that plastic lining. In one of the bags, the plastic liner has black spots on it (in 6 different spots). I tried scraping them off with my fingernail & it seems as if the black spots are “baked into†the plastic itself. Even after handwashing them, the smell remains & the black spots remain.I’m not confident in storing my bread inside of these based on the smell & black spots, therefore, I’m not going to recommend these. There are plenty of bread bags on amazon that are much better options than these. Look for organic linens & bpa-free plastics (or no plastics at all) & you’ll find some great quality ones out there. These are not it.
