These are very well made. They are sturdy without being heavy (because of their size). My husband purchased these for a project. I think they would be perfect for painting. I cannot easily carry around the large 5 gallon bucket for painting. I think these would be the perfect size for that kind of project, or for mixing garden soils and fertilizers for plants, etc. They have seal tight lids. Great for all of those tiny toys that children collect. Let the kids each decorate their own bucket. You get the idea. Many uses for this size bucket with a seal tight lid.
