Went to web site and put in vechicle info and they said it would fit a Diesel engine. ( i had not taken mine out yet) Ordered the cable. Got it and it was to long, by 6 1/2 inches! The info they have is wrong and they do not have right one. My cable is 30 3/4 long, their is 37 1/4. Their cable fits a gas engine., You need to measure yours first before ording. Had to make cable work don't no how long it will last being to long. Need to take this one out of catalog saying it will fit a 6.2 diesel with a 700r4 transmission.

I bought and installed this cable as my old cable was just very tough as I guess it was kinked at some point. Installed this one which has no clips to hold in place at the engine but it leaks like crazy at the transmission and is suddenly tough to push again. I would avoid and just buy a good quality oem.

Old cable on the left, new on the right. The wire in the trans is too large to fit through the new sheath. Of course I waited until day 31 to install it, so I couldn't return it.

Does not fit even though Amazon says it does. Do yourself a favor and take out your cable first and measure it.

84 K10 Suburban with 6.2 diesel & 700R4 . Transmission end of cable was way to small in diameter to fit in the transmission.

Cable fitment was good, installed easily, and adjusted properly. Easily adjusted for proper shifting. Not only did it work right, but this cable added 25 horsepower!
