It just didn't fit my Warn winch because of the protective cover around the rope loop.

I put this on to replace my bent hook on my winch. Haven’t had to use it yet. Will update when I do.

Seemed like a good product, but the opening for the thimble to attach the hook is 19mm (0.79") where the standard warn 3/8" thimble that comes on the end of their Spydura synthetic line is 20.5mm (0.8"). I am not going to grind down or "flatten" a brand new thimble attached to a brand new line from Warn to fit in a $37 hook! I feel for the price it would have been a great hook except for the fact the opening was 1.5mm to tight. There are also cheaper (thinner) thimble out their, but I am not going to splice a new cheaper thimble on a brand new line. Not had this been a used line, I definitely would have!

Nice hook to replace the hook that came with my winch. I personally like the fact that it holds in place when wound in so you don’t hear it banging around.
