The shuffler has two gripper wheels that pull the cards in to be shuffled, battery is charged with usb cable.While not perfect at shuffling the deck evenly, this product is well worth the extra cost over old style shuffler.

My fellow bridge players with arthritic hands appreciate this new shuffler. It's small enough to set on the table and pass to the dealer, simple to operate, and NOT SO NOISY as many we've tried. Rechargeable battery is also a plus. I recommend this one to all you gals whose thumbs don't work as well anymore.

I purchased this as a gift for my mom and she absolutely loves it! It’s compact size and quiet for shuffling cards makes it easy for us to continue our long card games.

This handles two decks of cards effortlessly, and fast mind you! This newer compact design is much better from a functional standpoint, than the older designs, most of which are just copies of a very old shuffler design. We had one of the older design shufflers, and it did OK, but "choked often". I like the rechargeable feature, vs. using disposable batteries, it runs for a long time on one change!
