Aluminum rail. Exstreamly light. Decent quality red dot optics. This bow is simple and it's accurate. It hits hard from 30 yards out. Not using for hunting although it will definitely put a deer down at 40 yards with good broadhead. I use it for target practice and getting rid of varmint around the farm. It's a solid recurve cross bow. It's worth the money if you are familiar with any type of bow hunting. Good luck with it...so far it's served it's purpose 🤘ðŸ‘💪

Look up YouTube video by "Hattila" for Mankung crossbow. The video is in French but he shows in detail how to assemble correctly. Instructions that come in this bows package are for a completely different compound crossbow. Also this bow comes with the "Mankung" branding everywhere that is supposed to say "Avalanche" so for the buyer, no you are not buying a "Avalanche Hellhound". You are buying a "Mankung hound" which isn't a bad this bow is great but instructions are wrong, you do not need a extra rubber peice as instructions say. And the bow is not from Budk, Unitedcutlery, or CutleryUSA. Manufacturer is totally different than described. Bow looks exactly the same just different branding on all parts shown in photos. 3 stars because bow is nice and great. Missing two stars for the blatant failure to rebadge the product, and failure to provide the proper instructions for the bow they rip off and claim to be thier own, without even rebadging it thatch the listing. Tried posting this review once but I guess Amazon didn't like my honesty about them listing a misjudged product.
