I ordered these shorts because I hike a lot and wanted to try some that aren't so pricey. I was very pleasantly surprised. The fabric is lightweight but not too lightweight, quick-drying. They are slightly lighter weight and noticeably more stretchy than EB Rainier. I personally wouldn't wear them quite as snug as my Rainiers because of that. I ordered the size large and they fit nicely with more roominess than Rainiers which looks fine because the fabric isn't stiff or bulky. I could have probably ordered size medium but honestly because the fabric is so supple the size large looks fine. I wear size 10 Rainiers for comparison.They are rather long, but I'm only 5' 1.6" tall. These go below my knee but are shorter than capris. I'll probably end up sewing them a little shorter which I do almost all the time because I'm so short.The contour and shape of them is lovely, especially the waistband area. I actually prefer this waistline over my Rainiers.I sew clothes a lot and think the construction is ver well done. The only thing I noticed is that the inside leg seams are not flat sewn (Rainers are flat sewn), so hopefully it won't cause chafing on long hikes (I had that happen once in the Sierras and will forever worry about it). I will update this review if I have any problems.Very happy with these shorts. Happy trails to you!

So I got these to use and for now they are good. I go to a gym and do alot of walking. At times I get hot from working out and my other shorts sometimes does not wick sweat away fast.I like how flexible these are. When I ordered my size they seem to be a little bit larger and I don't mind that from having the shorts to be little loose.I am not sure what to thing about the seems. Most of my other shorts have flat seams and these are not. It's like they forgot to sew them down flat. Might cause a problem when walking alot from rubbing my legs.I do like that they got down to my knees. Sometimes I walk by bushes and will get scratched when I pass through them so these do go lower than normal shorts.I am glad there are pockets just wished they were a bit larger to where I can actually put my phone in on the side pocket. Got a large phone and it does not fit. Holds other things like my keys.The price is not bad for them. Just might get another later.

These shorts are fantastic! The fabric is light and it does not hold moisture. The length of these bermuda shorts is a bit different than other bermudas, which works great for me because I have short legs and these actually come to my knees and not mid-calf; I am actually very excited that the length hits where it does. The fabric is stretchy, so it is very comfortable to move in these. These shorts also have pockets, ideal for keys, maybe a tissue or something smaller and lighter. These are great for walks, running errands, gym or lounging - so versatile and comfortable! Definitely more ad hoc the warmer months, but versatile and stylish; they can easily be layered to accommodate different activities as well. I followed the indications of the size chart and the fit is great. I have other Baleaf's items, and they all perform great; I would definitely recommend these shorts.

Love all the pockets! While I don't hike, we do dog walks. Lots of dog walks in the summer. Cargo shorts are the best option because who wants to carry the essentials in a bag... even a fanny pack is too much. So having pockets for a phone, a key, tissues, doggy bags, etc. is great! Having a zippered pocket for my key is even better.The pockets are actually big enough to my iPhone Pro Max doesn't fall out. Yay!I ordered the navy blue shorts. They a nice deep blue color. The small fits great and they hit below the knee --- so maybe not shorts --- more like capris. (I'm 5'2" 110 lbs.) I like that they have UPF-50 sun protection built in. The fabric is lightweight nylon and spandex. The waist has both elastic and a drawstring to adjust the fit. They really do "move with you" like the slogan.

So comfortable to wear but it can get a bit warm in tropical weather. It fits well and the drawstrings at the waistline is definitely a plus.

I have a couple other Baleaf pants, and the quality is consistently great. These shorts are no exception. The color is a nice cobalt blue, and I really like the extra pockets. (There’s a cell phone pocket on one side and a zipper pocket on the other.)I tend toward a size 14, so it’s hard to know if I should go with L or XL. Based on my other Baleaf pants, I went with a large and they fit great. Super comfy!I’m looking forward to wearing these in the summer, especially kayaking, because they will keep my upper legs and knees from burning, but they will be cool and quick drying.
