I ordered two packs of these plates. In one pack all of the agar was crooked and bubbly on the plates, and had non-solidified liquid on the top. The other pack had two plates already growing bacteria, and one plate with a broken lid.

My daughter has used this for the second time. Once in middle school for a science project and once in high school. It arrived quickly and perfect for her project.

When we opened our package the ager was already growing bacteria, presumably from China, the country in which it was manufactured.

I was worried about these petri dishes being a bust, but I’m glad to say they are legit. There is a bit of weight to them and each dish has an even amount of agar on it. Only one of the ten dishes has some condensation in it but no bacterial growth that I can see. The rest of the dishes look perfect and are clean and ready for mycology work. I will be reusing these dishes in the future and figuring out an effective way to pour my own agar in a SAB.

These plates are of extremely low quality or it's just a scam. Zero of my plates showed any movement beyond the initial growth. My own poured plates proved this using the same subjects at the same time.
