These clamps fit my 1" bar perfectly right out of the box. But if your bar is a little under or over don't worry because they are easy to adjust over quite a range. Open and close easy with the lever and hold the weight plates snugly into place. I also used a pair on my 1" curl bar that is threaded on each end for screw clamps. So much easier. They are well made and I believe they should last a lifetime. These are the ones you want! I wasted time ordering and returning the Yuntop clamps and the Amazon choice Dmoose clamps. Both were so small they would not go onto my exactly 1" bars. I hope this review saves you the trouble.

The weight bar clamps fit well and are easy to use. Came as advertised.

So far, these colors are working very well. Better than anything else I’ve tried so far.I use these when I do deadlifts using a 1 inch bar 245 pounds for 10.As you can see from the pictures, these are all vintage weights, they don’t fit tight to the bar, and they are all different sizes.Using these collars you can see after 10 reps that the plates didn’t move very much at all.Maybe a quarter of an inch if that on either side.Far better than anything else I’ve tried. The only reason why I didn’t get a five is because they didn’t stay without moving at all. But this is pretty close.Time will tell her they hold up to abuse but so far these are great!

I really like these. They are adjustable and easy to adjust. They hold the plates in place on high reps low weight (that’s all I’ve tried). They are easy to use. I had trouble finding adjustable ones that work on a threaded, non Olympic size bar so was so glad to find these. They could break pretty easy because they’re plastic, but I like how light this makes them so I’m ok with it.

I have a set of adjustable dumbbells 5-100lbs and they have screw clips on them now and it’s already so time consuming to change out the weight so was really excited to get these. The sad thing is they are cheap. I would love to pay more and get something that’s great quality but sadly this is not it. Honestly could end up being pretty dangerous depending on the weight. I didn’t experiment too much with them but I’d guess if you’re using them to hold over 30lbs it’s probably not safe.I ended up just taking them off and now they are collecting dust

I bought jammer arms with narrow plate horns, approx 1.89 inch diameter, and my usual olympic collars would not tighten on a horn that small. These collars are adjustable by threading the bolt holding the locking lever in or out and did provide a tight fit and no more dropped weight plates. They appear to be made of a sturdy polymer and good quality. Price was also very reasonable.

These barbell clips are marketed as providing greater ease of use on all kinds of 1" diameter bars. Unfortunately that is not the case on 1" threaded bars. These clips feature a collar fine-tuning adjustment mechanism whereby you twist the clamping lever in the open position to loosen or tighten the degree of closure when the clamping lever is closed. In principal that makes sense. However, because the cam that opens and closes the hinged collar provides insufficient range of motion, in order to remove the collar from the bar you first need to untwist the lever (turn counter-clockwise) in the open position to sufficiently open the clamp to easily remove it from the bar. Otherwise you need to forcefully drag it across the threads with the likely result that you will grind down the shallow threads on the inside of the clip, which are intended to gain purchase on the bar's threads for a more secure lateral grip when fully closed.Conversely, after sliding the clip back onto the bar after changing the weight plates, you need to twist the open clamping lever clockwise to tighten the degree to which the clip grips the bar in the fully closed position in order get it sufficiently tight. This is problematic for multiple reasons.- Repeatedly Big Hassle: needing to go through this process each time you change plates is a pain in the neck even if it proved to be effective in getting a comfortably tight grip on the bar (which it does not).- Tight Space to Grip the Open Lever: the open lever must be fully extended outward prior to turning it or you won't be able to twist it since it will hit the outermost plate. In that position you are then forced to grip it with your fingertips since there is very little room between the lever and the plate.- Concentration Required: you need to remember to twist the lever the same number of revolutions as you untwisted it from the secure closing grip when you previously loosened it to remove the clip from the bar. Otherwise you will have to re-tighten or re-loosen the lever to be able to fully close the clip or to get it optimally tight on the bar- Disconcerting Play Between the Plates: even taking the time to optimize the grip I've found that there's still a little play between the weight plates, which is especially disconcerting when moving a dumbbell in a more vertical position such as in performing hammer curls, waiter curls, or skull crushers, or when raising it to shoulder height prior to beginning overhead exercises such as shoulder presses.Having to go through this process each time you change weight plates is of course a big pain in the neck and far more time consuming, tedious and uncertain than simply removing and reattaching a spin collar to obtain the tightest possible grip and fit between the plates. While these clips might provide advantages relative to spring clips on smooth bars, which I have not tried, they are a big step down from using traditional spinlock collars on threaded bars.

The clamps seem sturdy, a polymer of some type. They come with several sets of rubber like inserts, to adapt to different size bars.I have a weight set from my childhood, with those sloppy cast locking sleeves with a square head bolt, that are secured with a wrench or pliers.I also have 2 different size bars, so the sleeve adapters work great. These were a perfect upgrade.

I like the fact there where adjustable as I had a strange size bar which was 1.8inch so adjusted the clips to suit and tested on my monster dumbbell so far can't fault them

I'm VERY impressed with these. I have a tib bar on which everything slips, but not these. I don't even have to clamp them that hard for them to hold VERY well. This the best design I've seen so far.

It's annoying taking them on and off. I don't do olympic lifting with bumper plates and I feel like these things are maybe meant for that. Weights typically don't slide around with any collars on since the barbell is typically level. Dumbbells might be an exception. If you have a fixed weight you wanna stay at and you manhandle the barbell and drop it around like a savage, this thing might be good for keeping the plates from moving but for generic use it seems kinda terrible.1. The clip can be spun to tighten it but it's really loose so when you take it on and off it might spin and loosen too much or tighten too much where sliding it on is annoying or when you clip it it's not tight enough to keep the weights in place.2. When you clip it, the spinning clamp thing feels really wobbly and clamps sideways, insecurely, on whatever angle you close it at. Feels cheap and imprecise.3. When you do open and close it, the side difference between both states is very minor so if you set it tight enough that when it's clamped the weights will not move at all, then when you open it it will still be tight and since it resists sliding you'll have a hard time actually pulling it off easily or conveniently.Olympic barbells generally are all the exact same thickness so there's not really a good reason that I can think of where the collar needs to be so adjustable and wobbly. It should slide on easy and lock tightly but this doesn't. If it slides on easy it will lock loosely and slide. If it locks tightly it will be hard to take off without unscrewing the clasp to loosen it, but then you'd have to adjust it every single time you take a weight on or off which is annoying. There is a middle ground where it's not super secure but where you can also take it off easily enough but having stay at that tightness is hard because the clasp will spin around at some point and ruin the setting you liked. The adjustableness is really annoying personally but if you absolutely want your weights to not move and don't mind the extra inconvenience, it might be good for you, tho I still don't like how the clamp can be pushed down on stupid angles because it just makes it feel cheap and imprecise.

Work great on 1.9" axle bars and 2" barbells

Exactly what I was looking for. Needed something to clamp down on sleeves slightly smaller than 2" and the adjustment on this allows me to do so. Adjustment is super quick and easy. Saved me from buying ridiculously priced rogue axle collars.
