They work pretty well for things like presses, but they will slip a little when doing things like overhead tricep extensions; which is pretty unnerving. I use two clamps each side when doing things like that, and that seems to work.

Read the reviews. People have all used these on standard 1" bars. Some loose, some don't fit on the bar at all...some just right. Mine does NOT fit. Not even close. When fully pinched it is less than 1"...how can it fit on a 1" bar. How hard is it to QC to have a standard 1" piece of bar to see if it fits and clamps? Oh yeah, just push them out and see what sticks. In the meantime we have to play 'barbell clip roulette' until we find the right size. They claim the diameter is 1.1 inches...not even CLOSE.

Will be returning these. These clips don't have good holding ability - they're actually less effective than ones I already own. Also, they came in a bag which had previously been opened - there were 2 machine screws, 3 sheet metal screws, a small flat washer and a wire nut!?!?
