I was surprised, pleasantly, by the product I received. I was expecting rough wood, inconsistent measure, and blemishes... What I received was S4S milled, perfectly measured wood as advertised. FAR above and beyond my expectations! Will definitely order again!

I have ordered from Barrington a few times now and they seem to truly care about the wood. I would just suggest a little bubblewrap. A few of the pieces had minor damage from shipping (black limba and padauk). Otherwise really great product and shipping time is definitely reasonable. I'll continue to order from them and would recommend to anyone looking for finished domestic and exoctic pieces.

Lumber was exactly as advertised, my samples were much lighter in color with not the definition I expected. Still very nice, good hardwood, with a little stain I bet i could get it closer. I am using it to make handles and I like the lighter color so I can tell the difference between tools at a glance.

There were a couple of pin size holes that went all the way through the wood on 2 of the pieces. Other than that, great product. Have bought from this seller severla times and was the first of any issue I have ever had. Issue was really minor so at this point I will probably order from them again.

I've ordered these 3 times. The first time the wood was great and got some beautiful pieces from it. The second time, the wood grain was off to one long corner on 3 of the blanks. Got a few "OK" pieces from it. The third (and last) time, the wood grain was all along one long corner which would get cut off on the lathe before the blank was rounded. I'm returning those blanks as the final pieces would be bland without the nice black grain figure. The seller should have better quality control and not allow grain-less blanks in the hands of the customer.

I was pretty disappointed in what I received. Only 1 out of 4 pieces had any of the characteristics of normal black Limba, I had bought these just for the typical pattern, not very happy with purchase
