Cherry's color ages to a richer, rusty red brown with any clear finish and has a reddish-brown color that darkens slightly with age. This wood accepts stain very readily and will take a high-gloss finish. Cherry wood has a fine, uniform texture with a smooth, satiny luster. Grain patterns are typically straight but can be irregular.

Beautiful grain, cut with precision and packaged securely so no warping and arrived quickly. Added 3 coats of polyurethane for outdoor use, but it’s so pretty I might use it inside. Half done with park bench. My review was for a product shipped from CT Power Tools. Update: Finished weeks later. Wood was still straight, no warping.

One of the eight pieces I received had a noticeable crack/fault through it but otherwise good, dimensions correct and uniform, and all looked nice. Very smooth surface that required only minimal sanding despite not being advertised as a finished surface.

I bought (16) of the 3/4 x 2 x 48 inch cherry wood boards to refurbish my patio bench. The boards were all straight and good quality. Easy to cut and stain. Very happy with results.

I posted a question before purchasing to find if the lumber has S4S finish. The seller responded that it is. I have received the product, and the pieces are definitely not polished on any side. The good thing is that there was no bow on any of the 4 pieces, so it was not a total waste for me. But I would not have purchased, had I known the finish quality.
