The color of the walnut was very good. The only issue I had was one of the 4 boards had a bow in it which I couldn't get out.

Paid a premium for walnut lumber that should not look like this. One piece is way under 2" wide, so it can't be used in my project now. The remaining 3 pieces are bowed 1/16" of an inch in a 24" span. All are rough cut with narly deep saw marks. If i were to sand those out, I'd be wsy under 2" for sure. Barrington hardwoods please change your saw blde and check your fence on your table saw. These are not usable for my intened project now. Definitely not a good value nor quality.

I was apprehensive about ordering fine hardwood online as it is such a variable product both in beauty and in quality, and subject to widely varying personal taste. However, Exotic Wood Zone came through in every conceivable way. The Black Walnut was gorgeous, true, clean and clear. I can report no negatives! -- No twists, turns, dings, gouges, splits, checks, cracks, short sizes or anything else undesirable! Additionally, I requested a more figured Black Walnut for my second order -- and was quite pleased with what I received. Now, there were some pieces missing on my first order, however, the were speedily shipped without question, hesitation or delay, demonstrating excellent customer service. Not a flaw or knot on any of the 4 boards...truly some good looking material !!!!!!!
