I only used it once so far and it does the job for me. My eye sight is not real good and I don't have a chance seeing a target. This makes it easy, nice bright view even in low light. I put it on a camera tripod and I don't think I'd trade it for one with the eyepiece that points up on an angle - although that's a personal preference. Carrying case is sufficient. The little tripod works ok if your at a shooting table. I think it's a great value/function.

Sure, it's not the scope to buy if you're a sniper, but for 90% of us this will do a very good job. I'd highly recommend it. And yes, like other reviews say, buy a good stand. I did and I'm very happy and will be keeping both!!

Great spotting scope. However if you are zooming more than 60x you'll need to have a very sturdy tripod and you might lose a bit of quality but that is normal in high magnifications. The lens is huge and takes in good amount of light.If you want to digiscope though you need one of those universal adapters that hold your camera next to the eye piece as there is no screw on the eye piece to screw a camera on it.The look is super sharp and stylish! The tripos that comes with it is perfect to use on a table or for a range.For this price this is the best spotting scope that has such objective lens of 100 with up to 90x magnification.

Basically this spotting scope has great zoom and brightness, especially for the value. Unfortunately the pros pretty much kinda end there. Optical quality for the amount of zoom is relatively poor. Chromatic Aberration is pretty bad past middle zoom(kinda expected with this value and zoom performance, ultimately lacks glass peformance). Also, this scope is HUGE. Most people will not really pay attention to the dimensions of the product, but wow this thing is GINORMOUS. Definately need a sturdy tripod(decent camera tripod works). Since this thing has powerful zoom, it wobbles and jiggles a lot making it impossible to see clearly with the sheet tripod it comes with. Biggest deciding factor is what you are intending to use it for. Id say its a mediocre target shooting scope(why I bought it). I think as a spotting scope to identify things/targets is probably okay.Conclusions: Great zoom, HUGE scope, Meh optics, and needs a good tripod to use it effectively.

I thought being a Barska it would be good to 500+ yards, nope. 200 yards is ok, but almost impossible to see shots on paper at 300 yards. Optical aberrations at high zoom and out to 300 yards prevent this from being used as an actual spotting scope. My long range rifle instructor uses a $3,000 spotting scope and can call hits out to a mile ... dont fool yourself into thinking a cheap spooting scope will see past 300 yards :(

Great scope for 200 yard range shooting. Bought it for spotting at 300 and 600yards very. Clear. I recommend this scope for anyone terrific product for the money

This is a spotting scope that has three settings: 30x, 60x, and 90x. I find the 60x and 90x to be entirely unusable. I tried for several minutes with each setting and could not get a clear view. There are way too many aberrations to be usable at anything more than 30x. The glare at the higher magnifications are entirely unusable.There is no diopter correction on the eyepiece. Horrible!The lens is not multi coated or HD, obviously at this price.The tripod is a piece of hard plastic and very low quality. I substituted my own tripod.The carrying bag is a padded nylon variety. It doesn't even have a shoulder sling.These are my initial impressions. I have a Leupold spotting scope. It is a 10-30-60 x 60 mm which has usable zoom, and clearer resolution.This is a poor scope for a telescope. I will continue to update the review as I test this on the shooting range and in daylight. However, I am very unimpressed.My first impression is that this is a waste.

I purchased a Barska 30-x90x100 spotting scope at a price I could not beleive $323.00.I have been looking for a good scope for over a year,websites,department stores.I have done a lot of research looking for the right scope and this scope is fantastic.I live on the Canadian side of the St.Lawrence River and see great sites down the river and into the U S side of the river and following ocean vesels heading out to sea.This scope is the one for me.Ron
