My pen had been run through the washer, so the original refill was destroyed. I needed new ones and these arrived fast. They also work perfectly.

The refills were far more "medium" than "fine" tipped, and the first one's tip gummed up a little and I had to spend a little time wiping it clean.Could be better.

Pens just need to write. It was identical to the original pen, but somehow it does not retract. But it writes.

I noticed these refills write pretty good, but they aren't as nice, neither as dark as the original ink and at times it seems to go even a little lighter when writing for a while.I will disclose that I have written with only one refill so far... maybe the next will be a better quality? I'll see.

Love me a good Caran d'Ache pen. My dad buys the limited editions pens throughout the year and gifts them to family. I have several of them and needed black ink for work (rather than the blue they come with). No scratching or smudging. Comfortable writing.
