I used these cable glands to insert 6ga dc inverter cables into a DIY battery box. Since I used pre-made cables and the lugs were large, I had to cut a slice into the top of the end cap to allow the edges of the lug to get into the box. It tightened up ok, but I put some clear latex caulk in the cap to take up any extra space. This wouldn’t be necessary if I had a hydraulic crimper to assemble the wires in place. Worked fine, and I have lots left over. I just need it to have slight moisture resistance, perfection not practical!

The threads on the bulkhead side of the PG7 part are M12x1.5 and the length of the threaded portion (with gasket removed) is 9mm on the parts I received.

Worked well to install a fishfinder in my kayak. It was cheaper than a single pack at my kayak dealer. Sealed the cables well and good quality. I have no complaints.

I didn't know the O.D. of a cable that I ordered, but knew that I needed this type of connector to get a good watertight seal. This variety pack was cheap enough to get the one that I needed and have spares for future. Recommended.
