Solved my issue, had a glass door on a medicine cabinet hinge come off glass (ikea!) and had to silicone back on, was so far up on glass needed a clamp that would reach, the right price worked perfectly, I bet it will be great to compress caliper pads also!

Really come in handy for projects around the house/DIY projects. Make sure to wear shoes when working. You do not want these heavy things dropping on your toes.

For being a heavy duty c clamp I really expected the threads to be more tight and that the pads would line up more centered. It’s a good quality clamp except for the thread slop. Sometimes I use them with sockets, to press things out, and when I did, the socket kept misaligning and falling off so I could not really torque it very much . Overall it’s an okay clamp, but I wouldn’t consider it to be heavy duty.

Great clamp for home use or light industrial use, I have had best results from drop forged clamps like this one over the cast iron types.Note that the 4" clamp can only open to 3.75" (3-3/4 inch).

I used this to fabricate a portable transducer bracket for my john boat and can even use it with my canoe. The heavy steel construction made it easy to weld. And it was the perfect size to go over the transom and held strong while under way. (I don't weld often so function over form)
