So tool is well made and high quality, however wire lines must line up, or make a 90 degree transition for this to work, otherwise hog rings work better. So if you are making square cages, this works well, otherwise look into hog rings. Did manage to make diagonal crimps on 2x4 wire, out of necessity, but not designed for this purpose.

I bought this set to make a few bunny cages. It took some trial and error to get consistent crimps but in the end, it did exactly what I needed.

Bought these pliers and J clips to connect welded wire fence together. Easy to use one handed. Strong hold. Confident these will hold up over time.
