I use it to take out ravioli from boiling water, chicken legs from chicken soup etc. I find it much better than the alternatives I have used in the past (such as a colander, a special pasta fork etc.). The build is excellent and it is easy to clean.

This stainless steel kitchen spider works a hundred times better than the wooden ones with the thin wire spider attachment. I’ve used it for making pasta & just scooping it out rather than draining the entire pot and, for steaming broccoli. Worked perfectly both times. Definitely worth buying if you’re looking to replace or buy a kitchen spider for the first time

Great for lifting bones out when making bone broth, it’s really strong.Cleans easily with a mushroom cleaning brush in hot soapy water.

Purchased for makings wontons and other tasty fried goods, but have found a multitude of uses, especially as a strainer for pretty much anything! Cleans well in dishwasher. Beautiful design.

Although I don't do a great deal of deep fat frying, I bought this for using with things like deep frying cookies, pastries, and all sorts of things in oil. It works great for ladling the items out of the oil and having the oil drip off through the strainer areas. It washes up easily and because it is stainless steel, I shouldn't have to worry about rust. I'm happy with this purchase.
