A shorter wider dish is pictured, and description says that it is 7" wide, but it isn't.This is taller and narrower, with a large lip.Needed a 1 quart dish for souffle, so not sure this will work.Also small chip or poorly applied glaze, unfortunately it's visible when sat on a fat surface.Expensive for sending the wrong, imperfect item.

I hesitate to ask for a replacement because will the next dish be any better? With this one there is so much irregularity in the glazing. The texture is beautiful and of course the bottom is unglazed as we would expect.

Deep enough for a souffle, even heat retention, very good product. Finish is as described, pretty deep red color.
