Assembly took maybe 1.5 hours by myself. Each piece, hardware and everything else, was wrapped in seriously thick plastic and/or soft, protective foam. Love that! The armrests were supposed to be labeled but were not, so I put them on backwards at first. If you look at the photos, you can see that side with the more dramatic curve is the front of the armrest where you'd rest your palms. The armrests are height adjustable and are easily maneuverable. The tops of them turn out for a more relaxed feel. The hardware was wrapped in foam and taped well so everything looked good and survived shipping without damage. The one thing I did find a bit annoying was the plastic covers that are supposed to go over the hardware on the sides. The plastic must have been pushed on from within the box, which left them slightly bent. However, I was able to get them to cover the hardware and to fasten them with the screws provided. Also, make sure to count your screws and the two rubber pieces. I had all of the pieces required but there were no spares (so don't lose them!). I sat in the chair for a brief moment before bed and it seems very comfortable. The cushions are nice and firm. The two smaller pillows for back support seem nice but we will see how they hold up.All in all, I am happy with this purchase. If it works out well in my office, I might buy one for my office at work! I will try to remember to update thia review after I've spent some more time in the chair.

Little about the user: I am a level 2 I.T. Technician for a casino by day. A gamer by night. I moderate for several Twitch entities within the streamer community. The point? I spend a lot of time in a chair at a desk 24/7. I used to work for steelcase in Michigan some odd 20 years ago loading semi's. I've seen good construction and bad construction of chairs. You can feel the difference as you're loading them. With that job came perks. Using the chairs at that work at desk and we were allowed after x amount of time to take ones home. The reasons varied, could of been something as simple as a painting flaw or other cosmetic flaw. The steelcase chair was one I had for some 10 years before it just finally had enough of ... well ... me. Fast forward to now. Aged as I am 5'11" 260-280lbs. I was looking for something, well built as well as a Steelcase chair. Not as costly as a Secret Labs chair. As well as being something of an "upgrade" to the times. Steelcase doesn't make "gamer chairs" so this wouldn't be a hard sell. However if one were to say toss a pallet of them off a loading dock onto concrete the survival rate as a collective pallet would be 99.9%. Using one for anything longer then say 8 - 10hrs isn't exactly comfortable. Time to upgrade. So I do as many people do, start combing user reviews. Assembly, meh, ignored all those comments. I'm more then the average user to put together a chair. My steelcase chair broke at the arm rests. Why? It was uncomfortable to sit on for VERY long hours so shifting my weight was adding to too much stress on the arm rests. I was looking for something that was "rated" for my new weight and something wide enough so I didn't have to shift as much to remove that from the equation. Spending 15+ hours at a chair I'm more then the average "sitter". 10 at work at a desk and another 4-8 at home was my average. It wasn't the name brand per say that drew me to this chair. Was a list of compatibilities / user reviews / frame construction. In other words, not really knowing much about this company but the odds looked good, took a gamble. My 8 month review: My weight shifts from 260 to 280. I wanted to test to make sure the shock was going to support that weight. It does easily. What I call the "ass rest" Is very comfortable. Supports the wideness of my butt. No prolonged sitting issues at all. Lumbar support is also really good since they supply you with the things to change it up if you want. I was first threw off by the arm rests. I was like .... oh these are not going to last. They're like heavy duty plastic wrapped around a steel core that bolts into a steel core. (not made very well, if i'm being honest) However .... i don't shift as much in the chair. At first i thought these arm rests were not going to last but the chair itself is designed in a way to not require shifting as much. I don't have any thoughts on the foot rest as I don't have a purpose to use it. Gamers don't recline. Prognosis: Construction is still solid. 98% (i don't think anyone can maintain 100 not even secret labs, these are good numbers and speak highly of this company) comfort maintained for 16hr sessions. I would put this (in streamer lingo of a tier list) top tier mid chair. A or B. Would recommend to a gamer.

The Colamy Big and Tall Gaming Chair is sturdy, comfortable, and highly adjustable, making it perfect for extended gaming sessions or office work. Its wide seat and firm yet comfortable cushioning provide excellent support, especially for larger users. The recline feature is smooth, the retractable leg rest is functional, and the armrests are adjustable, adding to the chair’s versatility.Assembly is straightforward with clear instructions, although having a larger screwdriver or extra Allen wrench can be helpful. While the chair is well-built, minor improvements, like adding armrest cushions or modifying the neck pillow strap, could enhance comfort further.

I'm very impressed with the quality of this chair. My brother in law has a secret lab chair and I feel this is very comparable in cushion firmness and feel. The setup was quick. Took about 30 minutes to put it all together. The chair is incredibly comfortable with lumbar and neck support, or even without, and I'm a 170lb 5'9'' buyer for perspective. The leg rest is a nice addition but I'd be concerned about putting too much weight on it with the aluminum rails possibly bending under too much weight. So I won't be standing on it any time soon. The levers for height and recline are easy to reach and work flawlessly.I don't find there is any pleathery noise when moving around in the chair.Overall, it's a great value alternative to higher end secret lab chairs.

Excellent gaming chair. The chair fully supports my back, and the lumbar support of this chair is really soft and cushiony as well. I actually never use the lumbar support on chairs since it's normally less comfortable, but this is the one exception. It's big and tall as advertised, and really supports you fully. I bought the black color, and it's really sleek with a lot of carbon fiber all around too. It's quite cheaper in comparison to the higher end gaming chairs, but from my experience functions and appears quite similar overall, so definetly recommended.
