I had some problems my hands would slip and the product would start to hurt my hands but I’d prefer to only use it on used tires putting new ones in is a huge pain

These new tire levers are not as intuitive as regular levers, so it takes some research to figure out how to use them. Not helping things at all is the total lack of any instructions. I ended up watching a video for a similar lever made by another company, and the technique is probably not going to stick until you actually remove a tire or two. But, I can verify from experience that it's possible to peel off a tire with a single lever. To start, you have to hook the "claw" under the bead of the mounted tire, which can be difficult and maybe nearly impossible on a really tight tire. But, after that it's a very quick and easy process to get the tire off. I also found mounting the tire by sliding the notch along the rim edge to be equally quick and easy, which makes these levers ideal for people with weaker hands. They seem to work as advertised and are much faster than normal levers, but I think I need to try a very snug fitting tire/rim combo before declaring them a winner. And, I still have concerns about durability -- they're made of some sort of hard, light plastic (acrylic, like a brittle CD case?). I'm reluctant to pack one as the sole tire removal tool until I have more data. Being able to use only one lever is good, but you'd be screwed if that's all you have and it breaks at the worst possible time, far from home.

Needs to be made of stronger material. The rest worked ok. To be fair this broke removing a 20" tire.

As others have noted, these tire levers lack the rigidity needed for more challenging tasks. However, user experience plays a big role, and I was still able to complete work on three bikes much faster than if I didn’t have them at all. For the price, they get the job done, but I’d recommend looking into more durable options if you need something more reliable for tougher jobs.

Got these for new tires when they come all folded up and stiff; getting them to stretch over your rims is tough on the hands. They certainly are pricier than your average tire levers but, in addition to taking tires off the rim, these do a better job putting tires back ON the rims. The downsides:-They are bulkier and less portable than most tire levers you may carry in your seat bag for on the road repairs. The Fly_H are good for your bike toolbox.-No notch to anchor them to a spoke when removing a tire.Regular tire levers do not really facilitate putting new tires on rims. If you want to save your hands from the hassle of woking a new tire onto the rim, you'll need something like these.Even with the higher price tag, I still recommend them.

Grabbed these as I had finally broken my set of trusty Pedro's, and wanted to have an extra set of levers just in case. These things, however, are pretty much just garbage. They are extremely flexible, so if you try and actually lever with them, they just fold over. The edge is also extremely sharp, so good luck using it and not slicing through a tube/your sidewall/your hand. It also doesn't have a cutout to grab a spoke with, so you need to have three hands when using them in some cases. Overall, just not worth it, look elsewhere.

My Son's trike recently experienced a flat due to a punctured bicycle inner tube. The bike wheel is a hard plastic and definitely more challenging to remove than I recall with previous bike tire and tube replacement (usually a screw driver was enough). I was worried about damaging this bike wheel or marring it with a metal tool.So this tool works well for this situation. At first I thought having two wouldn't be needed but would be a good backup in case one broke. Turns out I actually used both, and it was helpful to have both. For example, you have one wedged at one part of the tire and another help pry other points of the tire. I didn't have an issue with the tool being too flexible, and it was sufficiently rigid.Getting this tire off was very difficult, and that is not the tool's fault in my opinion. I will add, if you are buying this to make it "easy" to remove a tire, this probably isn't going to help. At least in my case, it didn't make it easy but did help and I'm not sure what else I would have done had I not used this tool, or a similar tool. For the record, getting the tire back on the wheel was much easier. I also think the way in which the inner tube failed worked against me in removed the tire (fighting the tire against the rim as well as the inner tube creating friction). As someone else mentioned, there are no instructions included beyond what is on this Amazon product listing. I would recommend that they include a graphic or two about how to use this tool for those who have not used it. It may be somewhat self explanatory though I also came back to the Amazon product page to be certain.I think this tool works well, and is a good value. At least for a very difficult 16" bike tire, it was more than sufficient. Overall, I highly recommend!
