The Binocular Tripod Adapter Quick Release has been a fantastic addition to my gear. Its ease of use is unparalleled. The quick release mechanism makes attaching and detaching binoculars swift and hassle-free, which is essential during field observations. The 1/4-20 inch threading is universally compatible with most tripods and binoculars, ensuring a secure fit. The T6061 aluminum alloy body is both lightweight and sturdy, providing excellent support without adding unnecessary bulk to my setup. Overall, this adapter has significantly improved my viewing experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly tripod adapter.

Many of these don't have a release button so your binoculars could potentially just fall off if not tightened down enough, luckily these do so there's added security in knowing that even if they did loosen your binoculars aren't going anywhere. They're slightly more expensive than similar competitors but for the extra $5 I get the peace of mind that my expensive binos aren't hitting the ground.

Seller and product were OK, and I thought I had a mounting system that would work for my multiple binoculars. However, the seller refused to sell me additional mounting studs for my additional binoculars and wanted me to have to buy additional mounts I don't need. Price of mounts went up, and it seemed silly to be payibng for extra mounts just so I could get an additional mounting stud (one with each mount). This mounting system has two flaws: (1) the clamping screw does not clamp down tightly on the binocular stud, leaving the binoculars free to rotate around the stud (which is a PIA). (2) the mounting system is not "clean" in terms of engagement and locking down, and in terms of easy release when wanted (unscrew top screw and push down on it, or push the release button). It engages sometimes, it releases sometimes. It is not consistent in its engagement. I had some close calls with almost dropping expensive binos when I thought they were "locked in".Same yourself my troubles, buy the Fanavue product, which has none of these flaws (but one small one of its own...). I am replacing this mount with Fanavue mounts on my three tripods and two monopods. (the two systems are NOT compatible).

It holds nicely but to lock in place is tough Glasses rotate to easily.

Update: Having spent a bit more time with this binocular adapter and a couple more pairs of binoculars, I am coming back to say that I am even more enthusiastic about this tripod adapter than I was before! A couple features that I’ve become more aware of are: (1) The locking knob at the top of the adapter also functions as a quick-release button, so you can tighten/loosen and release the binocular pin with the same button and don’t have to use the release button on the front of this adapter. Super convenient in repeated use! (2) Also, the “concave" in-curved shape of the adapter shaft allows you to slide binoculars that have very little space between the barrels into position for the pin to be able to align with and slide into the socket. This is hard to describe completely, but I will just state that this allows this tripod adapter to work with binoculars that other adapters with a thicker and wider shaft simply will not work with — take my word for it. Again, 5-stars-PLUS on these! As an amateur astronomer I’ve tested a number of different binocular tripod adapters. I was recently very pleased to see several different pop-on models like this one to make it much more convenient to use my astronomical binoculars, without fear of stripping the tripod mount threads with constant removal and reinstallation. I had been happy with the FANAUE adapters I had tested, but my one complaint there was that the base was small and just didn’t seem secure enough. I had also noticed other reviews complain that the binocular would rock on its mount once in place. Enter XAMOREST, my new favorite! This one has a large, round base and an easy twist knob on the top that utilizes a vertical compression socket to secure the binocular screw more tightly than on the FANAUEs. The only thing I didn’t like is that the binocular screw has a slotted screw head for tightening instead of a more secure hex head, but you won’t have to deal with that once its installed. If you’re looking for a solid and convenient on-off binocular adapter, THIS is the one! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

As an avid stargazer and outdoorsman I have several pairs of binoculars, some are large and unwieldy. I’ve invested in numerous mounts over the years and this one easily ranks among the best.Good construction with easy adjustments. Thin enough to fit between the elements of my most closely-spaced binoculars (the Meade 10x56 pictured here) without restricting the ability to adjust inter-pupillary distance. The addition of a flathead screwdriver slot in addition to the standard knurled knob for installation was a nice surprise. After mountain the binoculars remained stable and didn’t shift, even when adjusting the tripod ball head, unlike others. Install was a breeze. The only negative I’ve encountered was the mounting screw was slightly too long to seat fully in any of my binoculars. Didn’t seem to be an issue overall, but I’d prefer the ability to seat the quick-release firmly. This unit was provided to me for review purposes but I will be ordering a few more sets to use on some of my other binoculars.
