The original rain gauge was glass and broke on a unexpected cold night. These gauges are plastic and less likely to break and a have the same gauge markings as the original.

The pole came bent, had to straighten it myself. But other than that, it hasn't rusted, looks nice and works well

Ordered the two pack in June 2023. One of the two lasted until this last week of January. We've had lots of snow, sleet, rain, and ice the past few weeks and it finally froze and cracked. I put the second one away for when needed, and, of course I can't find it. HA! I'm ordering two more. Great replacement for the original glass which was very fragile.

We attached ours to a shepherds hook that holds a plant. Used zip ties. Looks great!

We have been using this rain gauge for less then 2 weeks. Have removed it from the holder only twice after it rained. The bottom has broke out of it already. I absolutely do not recommend this product.

much better than glass since it won't break like the last two glass tubes I have had .it is just as clear as the glass tubes . I don't know why all the rain gauge tubes aren't plastic
