The black oxide coating aids in corrosion prevention and provide a black finish that won't chip, peel, or flake. These machine screws are for use in license plate mounts that have threaded inserts. The M5-0.8 size is the typical diameter for most BMW and Tesla models. The shorter lengths are for use without a license plate frame. The longer lengths are for frames.

These black license plate screws look great and won’t rust. They are also a perfect fit for my 2022 BMW X3 M Competition. Installation requires a Torx T25 driver.

When I checked for my son’s Tesla this had popped up. When the screws came it was in fact the right size for his Tesla Model 3 2023 model. Good value for our money and ease of installing. As well as good quality as I check the plate daily it is secured in tightly!

I bought a different set of screws that guaranteed they would fit the 2024 version of the Model 3, but it was NOT the case. These fit perfectly!!

The screws that mount the license plate are about 1/16 of an inch too long so they stick out of the back and could potentially scratch the paint underneath the license plate Tesla Model 3
