Twice a week, I teach afterschool in a public school. The program is only 10 weeks and I don’t have time to teach the traditional ways and have to have to present a song with an Afro Latin theme. The bow guide is a time saver and a functional piece of equipment for a group of 5 2nd and 3rd graders. Each class is an hour long and they are not so timid or liable to give up. Bowing is the hardest thing to learn for these students but it makes them proud to know that they can hold the bow and play rhythms comfortably. I highly recommend them.

This product has been the best thing I’ve ever bought for a learning tool on my violin. I do wish, however, that it came with instructions on how to install. Thankfully it was easy enough to find a YouTube video to help.

Got this for for my daughter who started violin. Her instructor advised us to get this for a good grip. It did fit good but was broken immediately. Not good quality.

Only good for full size bows, and not easy to take on and off.

I like this for beginner violin students. Learning the bow hold can be difficult but having something like this for my students has definitely helped them master some of the finer skills. Some things I like about it is the spot for you pinky to sit. As it is a divot, it forces your pinky to be in the correct position. I also like how easy it is to place on your bow. The things I’m not a huge fan of is how big the “tail†part is the is supposed to separate your first finger from the rest. Nor am I a huge fan of the space for your thumb but for a beginner or someone that is trying to finesse their bow hold technique. I think this is good!
