Blue Water Candy Lures started as a dream of a commercial fisherman, Captain Jodie Gay, along with his wife Terry in 2001. Years of commercial and competitive fishing combined with the love of fishing still exists and is the fuel that drives Blue Water Candy Lures today.
Today, Blue Water Candy continues to design and provide popular fishing lures for anglers all over the world. Thanks to their vision and the input of their long list of commercial fishermen and guide community, the company now offers over 5000 different lure options and specializes in custom orders. The same passion that started the company can still be seen and felt today with the Gay/Weaver family’s presence at tackle shows and other events. It’s a long way from that first lure that was sold to a Wilmington, NC tackle shop in 2001. It’s a business built on quality and the love of fishing.

My 15 year old nephew caught his first offshore fish on this rig. Nothing to wright home about (the fish) but the rig worked well. My only issue is the mono leader. Fish was a King Mackerel and they have lots of sharp teeth. I will rework the rig with wire. I did know this going in and the mono did hold.

Caught some mahi off this rig. Caught myself, Hell even caught the cat. The hooks are sharp.

Very efective I bought 3 of this diferent colors and it was the only lures that had action the packing and rigging are very nice. I knocked out a star because after a fishing day the hairs from the lure are almost all gone but for the results i had y would buy another .

Worked out better than expected , we had 3 slow fishing days in Cabo the only lines getting hit had these Ballyhoo rigs on them they were working better than live bait , bare Ballyhoo or lures.
