After striking out with a cheaper mouthpiece puller, this one worked! Definitely worth it!

Like other commenters have stated, this puller is on the expensive side, but it sure does the job. I recently purchased the Bobcat puller for a stuck flugelhorn mouthpiece. Using the puller, I was able to easily remove the mouthpiece in just a couple of minutes. It came out very easily - no damage to mouthpiece or leadpipe. Just to be sure no damage would occur, I wrapped some thin cardboard (think business card) around my mouthpiece to protect it. I don't know if it was necessary, but a little added insurance can't hurt. This tool works great. There is no excuse to ever use pliers, channel locks, vice grips, or anything else to remove a stuck mouthpiece.

I teach elementary band, so I pull A LOT of mouthpieces. This mp puller works every time without any damage to the instruments, and it fits all brass sizes - trumpet, trombone, baritone.

I bought a cheap knock-off & it bent in half. The mouthpiece was still lodged in the trumpet. I finally broke down and paid the exorbitant price for this thing, but I see it as an investment. Surely my 10 year old will drop her trumpet again, & now I will be prepared.

Amazon had the best price, but man, for what it is, it's way too expensive. The really good ones are not worth 120 to me, that's why I got this. It does the job, albeit not as easily as the really expensive ones. Considering the price difference, it is WELL worth it.

We first purchased a puller that was the same design concept but less expensive. (Amazon is flooded with them.) We ended up bending the cheaper device itself but the mouthpiece stayed stuck. I guess it's the old saying, you get what you pay for. On this quality one we used a wrench to turn the last bit, and the mouthpiece popped right out. With zero damage to the trumpet or mouthpiece.

This is not a cheap puller, but my teenager was able to safely and easily remove a trombone mouthpiece that had been stuck for awhile. He now has 'peace of mind' that when it happens again, he will be able to remedy the problem rather than wait for me to drive him to a music store. He also now has the confidence to experiment with other mouthpieces and is practicing a lot more. I don't know how easily other pullers work, but I'm glad I followed the advice of other reviewers and bought this one.

A great piece of kit.OK, I learned the hard way so beware if cheap imitations. This is a far superior piece of kit and worked within seconds, whereas the cheaper imitation was bent beyond repair and failed to shift the mouthpiece.

It is really easy to use: the mouthpiece that seemed stuck forever comes out with its help in 1 minute without any effort, damage...So worth it!

This product was so easy to use and release a seriously wedged mouthpiece in seconds! The instructions are not at all clear or helpful, but there are loads of videos available and they were spectacularly easy to follow. A must for anyone with small children learning to play the trumpet!!
