I’ve been using this shoulder rest going on a year now, and it has been my favorite. I love how supportive it is and reliable. I need a tall and big shoulder rest for my viola and this one delivers both. The one I originally had was for 15’ viola and about 2 months ago I ordered this one (for 15 1/2’). I had at the time a 15’ now I have a 15 1/2’, for a while I was using the 15’ for my 15 1/2’. It worked okay but over time it did get stretched out and it started falling off so I decided to order the proper size. So if you get a bigger instrument and have a smaller size shoulder rest I’d say it’ll last you a while but after a whileyou will probably need a bigger one. These are meant to be bent to fit your Viola, because all instruments are different. So don’t be afraid to adjust it to your liking. Overall this is a reliable and versatile shoulder rest. Would recommend to any Violist!

Bought this for my son who has really fought me on using a shoulder rest. He actually doesn't mind this one! That's high praise coming from him.Update- I ended up buying one for me! This is by far the best shoulder rest out there. I have severe neck problems and have to seriously limit my viola playing. This and a decent chin rest triple the time I can play.

This is the best type of shoulder rest I have ever used on my viola. The only problem is it’s very difficult to measure which one to get. You must be very careful to measure your viola at the correct place. shoulder rests do not come with exact measurements. This one was too tight.

Outperforms any other shoulder rest I've used to date, and worth the extra money -- especially if you are "never feeling quite right" with any of the other ones.

Best shoulder rest I have ever used!!! A lot less pain than I used to feel! Great customer service too. For my viola, I had to get an inch wider. Be prepared to exchange it until you get the right fit. The 16.5 fit my 15.5 inch viola properly. The shorter one could not fit across the widest part of the viola. But once you get it right, you will love this shoulder rest!
