I needed bookends for a series of 3-ring binders. I can position these at an appropriate angle to hold the binders in place WITHOUT the bookends slipping. They stay where they are positioned and they do not scratch the finish of the shelves. Spot on!

I have a large wooden bookshelf and have tried a variety of bookends to keep the books on the top shelf in place.

Material choice is sketchy. It's extruded steel bent to shape, as opposed to being a cast piece. Attempting to tighten the fixing screw causes the bracket to bend downwards. I was still able to tighten it sufficiently to perform its function, but it's less than ideal.

I use these for very heavy binders of cards. I ended up using 2 for each side so 4 in total and my hundreds of cards stay upright.

The materials are strong and hold on to the shelf better than expected. However, it seems that the pair are not bent the same so one clamp has a wider gap and therefore tighter. Overall, I am glad that I found this unique design and it has served my purpose.
