Your cart is empty.A healthy and delicious treat that is pure, unadulterated heaven for garlic lovers. Roast several heads for about an hour in a 350 degree oven until golden and soft. Separate cloves and store in a container with olive oil for future use or spread them directly on some toasted rounds. Roasting mellows and sweetens garlic's pungency.

I bought this one specifically because of the size. You can easily roast 6 whole garlics. It did a fantastic job.

Its ok, well built and sturdy...but it has one BIG draw back.. its base is very shallow. Now, as you know the recipe for steamed garlic is : garlic, either elephant or regular, WATER, olive oil, bay leaf, whole peppercorns and kosher salt.* The water needs to be to the top of this base just so there is something left after an hour of steaming, right?! And, sometimes, it spills a little as I transport it to the oven the first time...ALSO:With such shallow base very little liquid is left, so forget about all that tasty dunking of bread into the wonderful liquid or saving some and sneaking it into other recipes!Another, less annoying drawback is that the lid isn't tall enough for a whole elephant garlic head.. I just break it apart, of course!* Bake for one hour at 350 degrees.

I found this at a Goodwill thrift store and decided to try roasting garlic on a heat diffusing sheet in the side smoker box on my charcoal barbecue while rotissering a couple beef roasts in the main fire box. Now this isn't really designed for a grill or barbecue but it worked fine.I just followed the directions on the box, that is drizzled a little olive oil and a drop of ghee (clarified butter) and sprinkled some dry Italian herbs over the whole thing. The beef took the taste of the wood chips in the smoker with a wonderful hint of garlic. The garlic was ready after just over an hour at about 300 degrees F.The terracotta roaster cooled down very quickly after removing it from the fiire box.I kept popping the cloves like candy while I was waiting for the roasts to finish.I couldn't get enough of them!Great product, Great way to cook and eat garlic!

I have made garlic 5 times so far; 6 bulbs each time. It tasted terrific. But the bowl is cracking all around and has only 2 inches to go before it completes a line on both sides showing that it is breaking. I never dropped it or anything like that. It is made in Taiwan. I will use it until it completely breaks, but will be looking for a US made one.

I have used this garlic roaster for many years and it has never let me down. My guests love the restaurant quality appetizer that I serve at every party. The roaster comes with easy to follow instructions and since the inside has a coating, it is fairly easy to clean. Yummy!
