As others have mentioned, these aren't exactly historically accurate, but the look is close enough for most occasions. Historically accurate pants will be a much heavier wool or cotton fabric and a bit too hot for summer events. Especially here in Florida. But these look good enough to play the part. Be careful of the sizing. According to the chart furnished I should have worn a medium, but I couldn't even zip them up. I retuned them and ordered a large. The large was much bigger with plenty of extra room. Note too that the description says "dry clean only". This is because the pants are 95% cotton and WILL shrink. But I took the chance and washed them in warm water and into the dryer on the perm press setting. And now they fit perfectly. It also seems the "length" listed is the full length from the top of the waist band to the cuff and not just the inseam as most of us are used too. So keep in mind that these are high waisted pants.

Despite the fact that it shows buttons in front, it actually has a zipper behind those buttons, which is probably nice and secure but annoying to undo all the buttons then the zipper for bathroom breaks.It also has a back belt thing (which I wish I knew the name of, I usually see them on the back of vests) which helped to fit it to size without a belt or ruining the look. It worked and was very nice. It also had a two button suspender attachment which was authentic to the time and looked great.Very happy with product, very good quality. Not costume quality, real life wear quality.Made to fit high on the waist, as was the style and worked for the high waisted vests/waistcoats of the time. So, perfect authenticity.Would buy again, but probably won't need to, because how often do you need to look like you stepped out of the 1800's.If you answered often... I'm jealous and I need to hear about your life.

Everything is good with the quality of the pants. The problem is the sizing seems to be off from the sizing chart. Mostly waist but also overall fit. I'm having to return them again and try another size. Hopefully this time works.

Now, it might've been simply because I stretched too far, but these pants ripped, despite me buying them a bit larger than I actually am. There were pretty good for the price though, and looked exactly like the picture and were nice fabric

Though well intended, I notice a lot of reviews leave out pertinent information to help out others who may not be their exact size (height and weight). I am 6"3" and 245lbs with a lot of my weight in the middle (I'm about a 40W for pants). I ordered these pants in the XL size, and was happy to see they gave me ample room in the waist, even a bit loose. The belt strap in the back can take care of tightening up around your waist if you desire. The length of these pants fit right about the length I was hoping for, again fitting my size (I'm about 35L for pants). If your are taller than 6'3", they may become a bit short in length the taller you are. If you are shorter than 6'3", then you will start looking at hemming, etc the shorter you are. Quality appears good, middle grade (not too thin and not too thick). I have not tried the buttons yet but as I will only use these pants occasionally (half a dozen times a year), I will be disappointed if they do not hold up. All in all, appear to be worth the price in a costume environment!

We got these to wear at a Jane Austin ball. There wasn’t time to return and exchange if the size was off. I was quite pleased they git perfectly, true to advertised size. I did have suspenders already that I used with them. I’m a little surprised just how comfortable these pants are. One item of note (that wasn’t a major deal breaker for me), I believe these are not made for washing machines. You may need to have them dry cleaned (or possibly gently hand wash and hang to dry). But don't let that stop you particularly if they’re be for occasional, light use. They’re a nice pair of pants. I’d order them again.

The pants are comfortable and long lastic, I woumd suggest looking more into the sizes because I ordered one too big for me I guess 😅 Still works out because of the mini belt at the bsck tho!

Es fácilmente dos tallas más grande de lo esperado, la calidad es buena, pero en mi caso ya no tuve tiempo de cambiarlo, asà que lo llevé a arreglar.
