Requires a lot more air due to the resistance of the mute but can be used, even while in a room with other people watching TV or listening to music on their computer, etc....Like everything else, it is a bit over-priced for a plastic piece but is made well, looks good and does the job it's supposed to do. Also, will not dent like an aluminum practice mute and is much less bulky.

I should really write this review as ... a neighbour! The Bremmer mute is excellent for what is is buil for: It almost totally eliminates the trumpet sound! For this, it gets a flat five star rating. Yet, while this will be loved by your neighbours and will probably reduce your stress and feelings of guilt for annoying the neighbourhood, killing the trumpet sound in a way kills the pleasure of playing it in the first place. This aside, it's great for keeping your poor performance hidden. One warning: because it essentially blocks the path of the air coming out of the trumpet, it also needs more blowing power to get the notes out and the pitch is not the same with and without it. So, while useful to use, don't use it exclusively all the time. Its good to remind yourself what the poor instrument sounds like from time to time. in my opinion, the Silent Trumpet offered by Yamaha which is a combination of a mute and a sound simulator is a better option but also much more expensive.

Dieser kleine unscheinbare Dämpfer ist wohl das hochwertigste Stück Plastik das mir je untergekommen. Er dämpft das Spiel meiner Trompete um ein signifikantes Niveau, sodass mein Nachbar das Trompetenspiel nichteinmal bemerkt. Desweiteren ist das Spielgefühl mit diesem Dämpfer fast so wie ohne d.h. Es wird nur minimal mehr Druck zum erzeugen der Töne gebraucht und das alles ohne den Sound groß zu verändern. Für mich einer der besten Dämpfer seines Preissegmentes und daher eine klare Kaufempfehlung für jeden der einen guten Dämpfer für daheim sucht.

La he comprado para mi hijo, que no practicaba mucho por no molestar a los vecinos. Desde que la tiene, practica más y con mucha fuerza, ya que apenas se oye. El sonido esta tan amortiguado que parece de juguete. Para mÃ, muy buena compra.
