October, 2024. This is on a Leer topper, it is fiberglass heavy, the struts removed were rated at 38 lbs. Very easy replacement using a small common screwdriver to remove old ones.The barrel on these struts are smaller than the ones removed. Appears well made and lifting strength is very good, the window now swings upward quickly. Measurements were as stated. Following replacement advise that you keep a hand on it to control the lifting force and closing action to prevent possible damage to connections. Once open it stays open without any movement downward. As a just installed product time will tell how well these will continue to function.Follow Up - after several months of use they have held up well, no problems.

While the rod is slightly smaller than the originals, they fit well and work great.

I have arthritis in both of my hands and find basic repairs can be difficult. These were easy and quick to install. So far they are working out well. Reasonable price.
