I was struggling to figure out how to get HDMI I had run in-wall into a wallplate with standard keystones for a clean-looking installation. My first idea was a right-angle HDMI plug adapter coupled with a regular HDMI keystone, or perhaps a right-angle keystone alone. Both have disadvantages: the former is one extra connection and therefore one extra possible failure/degradation point (I prefer as few as possible), and all examples I could find of the latter only went out to the side, not the top/bottom, and would still need considerable space to the side.Enter this product: it only adds one connection point (the keystone is built into the other end of the cable--brilliant!), and it solves my space/turn-radius constraints by moving the HDMI cable connection away from the wallplate area itself. If I had one wish, it's that they would make these in white to match my other keystones. However, I'd much rather have something that solves my problem, so this option it is!As always, I'd recommend testing everything you plan to run in-wall before actually doing so. That way, you won't be stuck troubleshooting problems afterwards that could have been solved before. I tried this along with the in-wall-rated cable I planned to run along with it on both sides, and all worked well.

EDIT 03/16/20: Cable Matters responded to my review very promptly and arrange for a replacement set of cables. These cables fit and work perfectly! Thanks Cable Matters!ORIGINAL REVIEW: Bought the two pack. Only one would actually snap into any keystone jack. I tried different plates, different sockets, everything. Upon close inspection, one of the two pigtail jacks was indeed malformed. A success rate of 50% ain't that hot, Cable Matters.....

I used these cables to hook up my man cave dream home theater. They are easy to install and easy toconnect up to my HDMI home theaters cables that are run through the walls. I can confirm thatthey work and it looks like they have no issues passing 4K HDR content. I am using an Anthem MRX-720 A/V receiver, and LG 65" TV and AudioQuest Forest HDMI cables.

Works but there’s an asterisk. Most people who are buying this need to know it’s limitations. My test setup3 foot hdmi2.0 cordHdmi keystone15 foot in wall.Hdmi keystone6 foot hdmi2.0 cord. This is more than likely the max distance you can get out of this type of install. It’s better to run from end to end with a brush plate. However if you’re keystone in wall run is6 feet or less with 3 foot cables on each side. It should work without any flickers or snow. Just something to know for those who want a clean setup behind the devices. Just see if you can install this in the same wall stud for the shortest in wall run possible.

These appear to be well made except that they are slightly out of spec to get a positive lock in the keystone. I know it's not the wall-plate because I tried other keystones in the plate and they locked in fine. A little ingenuity resolved the issue though. I was able to get them to lock in very securely by shimming the clip with a large toothpick and then clipping off the toothpick. They are now in so solid that I'd have to pull out the toothpick to get them out. Overall, I'm happy, but I'm only happy because I was able to resolve the issue with them being out of spec.

Works, passes on HDMI without a problem. Matches black keystone jack in the ceiling for a projector. I would like a no-pigtail black option from CM though.

I bought this specifically to let me mount the cable into a thin wall (2x2 furring strips on block) and it works perfectly.

This is what happen after 2 insertions of this product. The product seems to be a use once item. Not like the standard Keystone RJ45 plugs which can be move numerous times. I can not recommend this item.
