Right product and right fit for suburban hot water tank. Last exactly as expected. Don't need to replace as often as the cheap anodes. Easy to install and remove.

I bought a used RV. It was our first. Got it home and was doing some cleaning and general maintenance on it when I found the anode rod out of the hot water heater. Now I have never had to deal with this before so I think that the junk on there needs to come off so I put it in a bucket with vinegar. My buddy who has been RVing for a few years starts to laugh at me. I had cleaned it down to the little copper wire in the middle. He said it should be large looking. So I get on Amazon and look it up and sure enough here it is. Live and learn.Bottom line:It fits our RV hot water heater and was a great price. Check them about once a year and flush out your tank when you change it. It keeps the tank from rusting.

Magnesium protection for aluminum water heater. Mine last about 9 months full time. I know it's time to replace when temperature recovery slows. 7/8" socket, 6 inch extension and a 24 inch breaker bar make easy replacement.Be sure to power flush the magnesium hydroxide/carbonate gel from the heater. There will be a lot of it in the heater, this takes space, reducing the capacity. It breaks down easier than calcium deposits which it prevents.Another ounce of prevention item. Worth every penny.

The Camco anode rods were a little more expensive than other anode rods available on Amazon, but I saw a review by a profession RV tech and he said they were of a better quality than the cheaper anode rods. The price difference wasn't that much, and keeping your hot water tank free from corrosion is key. So spend a little more and hopefully you won't have to replace a leaking hot water tank in your camper.

ordered the bigger one by mistake the 1st time there are two sizes 3/4 by 9.5 inches and this one is the smaller one 1/2 inch by 4.5 inches.
