I used this to hang a microphone for my club's Amateur Radio Station. It works well and holds in place perfectly. However, the adapter is the problem. If you are switching out microphones or are needing to remove the setup, the adapter is removed too. It's never in the right place. Sometimes this is so tight, pliers are needed to remove it so it can be replaced back on the mount. In hindsight, I should have glued it down in place. I'll do that next time I'm there.

It's exactly what they say it is. It has a little of a rough look and feel to it, does not feel like a piece of precision work. It however does exactly what it is supposed to do and at a decent price.If you need this, this would be a good choice.

This let me mount it to my amp, which I like. The inside thread is 1/4"-20, same as most camera tripod mounts in the US, and I already had some inserts and screws that fit. Seems solid.

I haven’t installed this yet but it looks well built and sturdy, though I’m planning to use it with a portable mic boom-arm with an iPad and I don’t know if it will hold. It came without the advertised screws, so that cost them two stars -for lack of quality control, and another star for not including a non-standard Allen key to tighten the screw.
