Could not use the floats, they do not fit on the pins on a 1406. I could have drilled the holes out larger but one was dented and looked like a reman that should have been thrown out, so I just reused my old floats. Also does not come with metering rods or jets.

The gaskets dimensions are close enough to work but the fit is terrible the rear booster gaskets almost uncovered the transfer slot hole into the venturi, there is a punched hole exposing the front equalizer slot in top plate gasket top plate gasket had to be trimmed to lay flat , it only had the spring loaded needles for seats , the tollerence on thread for seats was way off and and couldn't be seated fully and the screw drive slot for seats is paper thin , floats required extensive adjustment of hinge geomentry and hinge holes to be drilled and the pump shaft to linkage hole to be drilled . I have over 45 years experience with carburetors and yes its only 18 bucks vs 55 for a edelbrock kit but this kit I will never use again. In the end it all worked out with me using my own needles and seats and with modifications and adjustments to several critical components . If you know what your doing and want to save a few dollars by all means but if you are the typical weekend car guy and expect this as a bolt in I do not recommend I gave the two stars for price alone

Had to use old floats due to difference in hinges.Had to trim center gasket to fit.

None of the gaskets were cut accurately, very poor quality overall, very dissatisfied, this is the first item I have bought from Amazon and felt I wasted my money, I guess you get what you pay for.,

I got these carb re-build kits for Carter 9000 Comp Series AFBs 2x4 set up i like them except the brass floats were smashed,should be sent in a box not a bag.

Gaskets don’t fit need to trim, accelerator pump hole to small doesn’t work, float guides don’t go in all the way. Too many issues. Horrible product
