I installed this on our clean burn waste oil heater. Took just a bit of work to drill mounting holes, but otherwise no troubles. Working great for 3 months now.

Exactly same as old ignitor I pulled off. 15 minutes to replace. Time will tell if it lasts along as original Carlin 41000 it replaced.

works as advertized. Fixed my problem with the furnace. It was easy to install and get working.. Installation simple but still nothing faint hearten. Must understand how the system works...High voltage present..can set you on your bud if not careful..

Works fine for a Jacobs ladder, but leaves a noisy "Buzzing" sound. I determined it must be a Half-Wave high voltage output and Not a Full-Wave output.( I tried using a Neon Sign Electronic Transformer and the Jacobs Ladder was Very silent), No sound at all except for little "Tap" sounds when arc goes out at top and new arc forms at bottom.I tried it on a couple of Metal Halide and Sodium bulbs I have and the soft light was "Flickering" with the Ignitor, and Steady soft light when I used the Neon Sign Transformer. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.So the Neon Sign Transformer is definitely Full-Wave output, and Ignitor is only a Half-Wave output.

Bought this as a standby ‘just in case’ as the original is now over 20 years old. Don’t want to have to order one at 20° below zero when the old one goes KaPute.
