The Carlstar/Carlisle Turf Saver is a lawn and garden tire that's designed for commercial turf equipment, golf carts, and residential utility vehicles. The Turf Saver features a classic shoulder design, flat profile, and chevron tread pattern that increased contact patch for better traction, grip, and stability, and a sturdy rubber compound that guards the tire against cuts, chips, and abrasions. Additionally, the continuous squared grooves of the Turf Saver allow for better wet performance by forcing water out of the tread.

Little difficult to mount that once I got it aired up it looks great I haven't had a chance to actually use the mower yet

I could not find these tires or even this exact size tire from another manufacturer anywhere locally (and barely anywhere online). These were the OEM tires on my 42" zero degree Cub Cadet and lasted many years before needing replacement. The shipping was incredibly fast even with standard shipping and the price was better than I could find anywhere else. Took them to a local Northern Tool for installation (the $12 per tire was worth it for me not to fight with it) and the tractor rides like new again. The tires are indeed pretty turf friendly though the nature of a zero degree WILL have them eating turf on inclined sharp turns.

The tires arrived without a rim (as expected), but the tires were shipped loosely and pressed-down.I took the existing rims from my mower and the tires to a local gas station. They had to stretch the tiresto fit the existing rims. It took 2-days for the gas station to stretch the tires to fit those rims. The tire came offthe rim the first time I tried cutting my lawn. I returned the tire and rim to the station for another 2-days of stretching. Between the savings for the cost of the tires and the cost of the gas station labor --- did I really save any money? You may want to buy tires already on a manufacture's rim(s).

I just replaced the rear tire on my 30 year old Ferris lawn mower (3 wheel). The original tire was the exact same tire so I guess I'm good for another 30 years?

The way the tires are being shipped from the manufacturer is a problem. They're smashed flat and do not regain their shape and in this case couldn't be seated on the rim without a tube which I shouldn't have had to buy. The tread is not identical to earlier models but the tire is serviceable.
