Works like a charm. I was renovating my bathroom and found that they had not used a box for the vanity light when they built the house. Unfortunately the studs were not close enough so I opted for one of these and glad I did. With a w.25 hole saw, I had the new light done in about an hour (assembly included). I WOULD definately purchase these again!

Dimensions in this listing’s description are a bit ambiguous as to whether inner or outer. Bought one hoping inner but upon receipt found they’re not, too small so returning it. One star off for description not being super clear nor accurate.I measured 4 3/8†outermost diameter of the face ring, 4 1/8†hole required, 3 1/4†inner diameter, 2 11/16†outer height, 2 5/8†inner height.

Upon removing the old fluorescent light fixture there was no round box in the ceiling to install the new lighting fixture. Ordered this unit which was easy to install and was perfect for the installation of the new light fixtures. Give to credit to you tube video for finding this round box since home depot nor lowes carried this item.

Good product. Works fine. Good brand. I have used several of these and not had any problems. Makes putting up a lightweight light fixture a breeze. It's only held by drywall so you can't put anything heavy on it, but perfect for those slim LED light fixtures that only weigh a few ounces.

Product is as described so if you don’t need it for a couple of weeks it’s all good. But it arrived a week and a half after it said it would when the order was placed. By then the job was done and we had to figure something else out. So if you need it for a specific job or buy a specific time and you can get it somewhere else you probably want to go that route but if you aren’t on a schedule or time frame…

I can see why there's a debate about using a 4" vs 4.25" hole saw for this. After reading reviews from a few vendors, I went with 4.25" and it worked fine but it was almost too big. But then I saw they make 4-1/8" as well. That's what I would go with if I was to do this again. Also if the drywall you're cutting through has plywood backing, make sure it's not over 1" in total thickness and you'll be fine.

This product was used in replacing a builders bathroom vanity kight with a new one. The box was necessary to mount the light and keep things safe.Remember to work the three clips to get them moving and avoid any snaps.I would buy this product again.

It was my first time mounting an electric box, and was not too sure if I would get it right. I was kind of surprised to get it installed on the first try. The flaps opened up all the way and the box stayed put and leveled.
