This is a cute little mat I got to keep my dog’s water mess off of my floors. This works great and holds both of her large bowls nicely (she’s a Bernese Mtn dog). It is sort of a soft flocked material that is absorbent on the top with a rubberized backing. I like the size of this as it does not take up too large a footprint, but can still hold both of her bowls.

It says on the packaging that because it’s made out of organic materials you have to air it before use. My gosh… it smells like a mechanics shop. It’s bad bad. Super chemical smell, can’t stand it. It’s been outside for three days and Three nights now and I can still smell it. That for me gives it 3 stars.It does absorb water, but my kitchen mat does the same job.

I wanted to get a mat to put under the dogs' water bowl to help absorb spills. This seems to do the job. It's probably better suited to a small food and water bowl side by side, but it's working so far for just one big water bowl.If there have been any spills since I got it, I can't tell. The mat always looks dry. I can't imagine no one has dripped water on it, so I'm guessing it's doing its job.The mat is not quite what I expected when I read that it was made of diatomaceous earth. It feels a lot like a thick mouse pad, with a more smooth top. Maybe it has some sort of coating made of that material. Not entirely sure.It's nice though and gets the job done. Not bad for the price.

I collect dog food mats and added this whimsical one to my collection. Almost too cute to use! It’s durable and easy to clean. It quickly absorbs water spillovers. The mat stays put on the tile floor for dogs that like to wildly gobble up their food! Perfect size for water and food bowls.

The image and all the printing is clear. This is perfect for my miniature dachshund's dishes. The material is soft and feels durable. The mat arrived rolled up but does flatten out nicely. Overall, a nice feeding mat for dogs.
