If you grill alot like I do, this meat hook is an amazing item to cook with. After buying several meat forks and going through dull tips and substandard handles that fall apart, this item work very well with light and heavy meats. The head is bigger than expected so theres so theres no struggling to grab and turn your food. Highly recommend the 13 inch handle instead of the small hooks. Easy to store. Will save and buy again.

I’ve been using this type of bbq turner for many years great for tri tips chicken sausages not so good for burgers, but who does not have a burger flipper? good length and construction

Well made and sharp. Great value for the money, but it is essentially a left handed hook. It's a bit hard to use for right handed people.

Works great if you are right handed, it is not universal left handed - right handed. It can be used by both just not as comfortable for the Lefty.

....sharp enough to make you regret not paying attention!I read with amusement how some found these so dull they couldn't puncture a tomato. True enough if you didn't take the protective plastic covers off!These arrived in good shape on time. The turners were zip-tied to a cardboard plate in their box to prevent movement during shipment. The turner's large diameter shaft extends all the way down to and through the curl, tapering quickly to a very sharp point. These will not bend under a reasonable load, say a 13+ lb brisket. The large bend radius in the curl means you can dig deep into the meat if necessary-- it will not pull or rip out.Very first use was turning 2 plump pork chops at the bottom of our Instant Pot with ease. Later in the week, I used one to turn 2 16 oz steaks on the hot grill.Verdict: the salad tongs are now officially relegated to tossing salad, not meat.Finally, yes they can be used in the kitchen. If you have any fine motor control at all, you can flip bacon without scratching your skillet or pan.

Okay, well I didn't wait that long. I'm just embarrassed to say that I didn't know about these until recently! I first discovered this item in a cooking video. I have been binge watching Sant Maria style grilling after I purchased my Santa Maria grill. Let me tell you, this thingy is a world changer. I never knew that flipping meats could become so simplified. No longer now am I removing half the rub off or tearing the chicken skin up grabbing with tongs. Its almost effortless. Just a quick hook and turn of the wrist and it's flipped. Very simple, but also very convenient. A must have BBQ tool!

Have used this once so far. Pretty sturdy. Bigger then I thought. So we use it to grill. Would probably get the smaller one to cook on the stove.

If you’re looking for a heavy duty meat hook this is the one. When I first received it I thought it would be to cumbersome but it’s not. Picks up everything from bacon strips to steak. Works well.
