This is a nice spatula but the epicurean engineered wood handle is very rigid/stiff. I am used to thin metal or fully plastic spatulas that have some give and can bend to accommodate turning something on near side of the pan. With this one I have to turn the pan and approach from the inside of the pan. Seems to be of good quality though.

I have an older version of this brand and my wife loves it so much that she wanted another. Well they didn't sell that version anymore but they had this one.I got it and at the time didn't realize that it will actually sit off of the stove on it's own. I don't have to set it on a plate or napkin. It's super easy to flip pancakes and eggs with this as well as other items. It's thin but very durable. We love it.

Loved the general design of this product - easy to handle, firm spatula blade, and won't scratch your pans. But the material is downright hazardous. After only several uses the nylon spatula started to fray and fragment. This left nylon particles in the food and in the pan. I plan to return and replace it with a set made of teak wood.

Epicurean fan. Love the cutting boards and their utensils have replaced many of my previous so called gourmet tools. No complaints.

This brand is always wonderful. Have a cutting board and other utensils purchased in 2000. They are just as good as new after years of use. Worth the money.

Not met any of their products that I have not liked. they handle my "it it can't go into my dishwasher, then I don't need it" tests over years.

It's a very large spatula. Comfortable to hold, not much weight to it. The head of the spatula tips on the elevated bit sometimes. Could be better balanced. Hasn't melted yet, so that's nice. Good replacement for the Joseph Joseph elevated spatula I previously had.
