I should have written this review a while ago, but I procrastinate. I also do a lot of baking, and especially for scones, I like to cut the butter in by hand and I was getting tired of using these bendable cutters that I had. I think I had four or five at the time and they all sucked. Now, I bought the Cestari cutter in 2022 and at the time it was the only one of it's kind, now all sorts of copies have showed up, but that being said, this has worked perfectly. It has a comfortable handle, which especially when you're older like me, and have some arthritis in your hands you really appreciate it. The very best thing is that it doesn't bend up like it's thin bladed competitors. I know they offer a lifetime guarantee, but it will probably outlive me, lol. It definitely makes cutting the butter into the flour an easy task.

Our old one was bought at a kitchen outlet store. I wasn't used very much and broke because inside the handle was plastic. We are hoping this one is made much better and will last a long time.

I do a lot of baking and have been in search of a high quality pastry blender for quite a while. I’m also a big fan of Cestari Kitchen and I was delighted to see they now offer one. I ordered it and I am not disappointed! Let’s start with the packaging - the box it comes in is high quality and suitable for gift giving. It even has a pastry dough recipe on the back! As for its functionality, its perfect. The pastry blender’s sharp blades cut through cold butter, well, like butter! And it’s pretty useful for cutting cheese and even potatoes in a pinch. I know this tool will get lots of use in my kitchen. So glad I ordered it!

This is strong and sturdy; not bendy. I really like it. Does a much better job. I threw my other 3 away.

It may seem expensive upfront for a pastry cutter, but this is the real deal. The blades are very sturdy, and do not buckle like the thin cheaply made ones when cutting through even a frozen stick of butter. The 4 blades (rather than 5 like the cheap ones) are also much easier to clean. If you make a lot of pie crusts or scones from scratch, get one of these! It is a serious, heavy duty kitchen tool.

The metal ‘blades’ are thicker than other butter cutters. I do not know why these are called pasta cutters as they are not long enough to cut dough into pasta. They do cut cold butter well when making pastry dough though.
