I am writing this review now solely based on current information. If you know much about figs, it is difficult if not impossible to know if you received the type you ordered until the plant produces fruit. Sometimes you can tell by the leaves but it still has to mature before you can do that. The plant I receive was between 2-3 inches so it is small. The main thing though is that the plant I received was perfectly healthy. It was shipped in a well protected packaging in a small pot and the soil was still very moist. I have had no issues since repotted and the plant is thriving.*** NOTE *** I have not purchased from this nursery before so I cannot remark about any confidence in receiving the correct variety that I purchased. Many times when buying mail order plants, the nursery can send the wrong type and some unethical nurseries simply don’t care because it may take 2-3 years or more before you realize it is the wrong variety. Take care when buying mail order but you should expect that this is a risk ESPECIALLY with figs. My review is based on the health of the plant received and no review on the certainty of variety.

The plant arrived amazingly healthy, the roots were a little small but had no damage. The stem was very strong aswell the leaf that was on the plant was happy and alive. The plant already has new growth coming in.

First I did not receive and I reported. One day while opening mails I found a strong thick cardboard box of may be 3x6 inches. That is the fig tree sitting between mails for some days. To correct the following problems I write this for the seller. 1) over priced (2) unexpected type packing v Thick small white box unlike any other online plant orders delivered. Looks like just gift box or a mail. 3) One dry thin 5 inches long stick in 2 inches size pot. It never showed sign of life planted in indoor pot for rest period. Sad. 99% of my Amazon plants or Home depot orders grow v well for me. If it failed one time the seller sent a replacement. Figs are easy to grow. I planted 3 in my previous home all bear fruits when reached 4-5 feet fast and strong.

This cutting is as described, three inch rooted cutting. It is thin with two tiny leaves. It is dainty looking. I have eight other fig trees in big pots. I expect this to be dormant over the winter & it will be interesting to see if it will survive long enough to produce figs. I will certainly update in spring of 2020.Spring 2020 - growing well, kept in my kitchen all winter, east window, watered when needed. Have started to weakly fertilize, many new leaves in March. Though the cutting was small, I am very pleased with its enthusiastic growth. Don't expect figs for another year, my other fig trees have initiated fruit while wintering in my basement. Highly recommend this seller. Thank you for successful fig tree cuttings.Wash your hands! Survive the 2020 pandemic.

This is the first time I've shopped for a fig grown from tissue culture. I didn't know what to expect, other than hoping it would arrive in good condition and survive. It did.The tiny fig tree arrived as a multi-stemmed specimen in its little pot -- not as tall and thriving as pictured on this product page, but with several little pale green leaves on it. (I really wish I'd taken a picture, sorry..) So far so good. I let it acclimate in my window, watered it , and about a week later, planted it in a larger pot with some good quality potting soil. Set it outside in our mild spring weather (low sixties in the day, high forties at night) and let it sit in a partial sun location. One month in, I added some bone meal to the soil and started it on a liquid fertilizing routine every two weeks. Moved it gradually to a full-sun location. The tiny tree was gradually growing and leafing out more.It seems to be doing well as of today, 2.5 months later. It has grown moderately and taken on a deeper, healthier green color. I am aware that it will be a few years at this rate before it will be mature enough to give me any figs, so we will see if the fig they sent me is true to the label "Green Ischia". The trade-off of getting a fig tree at a third of the price of buying a nice, rooted cutting that will bear fruit one year later is that there will be a much longer wait ahead before I will see the "fruits of my labor". Hoping and praying it will be worthwhile.

I'm not in a place where I can get a picture of it now. And it's about 3 months after I made the purchase. The fig is now a nice, healthy (smaller) shrub. It arrived as a 6 inch (or so) tall rooted/potted plant. And it's currently growing in a container, on my deck.At the moment it's almost 4 feet tall. I assume if it would be planted out in my garden, it would be twice as large. There are no signs of fruiting on it for this year. But as healthy as it is, I'll expect a lot of figs on it next year.
